HOW DOES UDRAFTER WORK FOR BUSINESSES?

STEP 1: POST PROJECT

Once registered, businesses can get started by posting a project. Enter a project title such as 'Student Marketing Project', a clear description, location of where the work will be carried out, estimated start and end dates, number of hours, hourly pay rate and skills tags.

Post a Project

WHAT RATE SHOULD I SET?

The national living wage of £8.72 is the minimum hourly rate supported by Udrafter. You are at liberty to choose an hourly rate you believe is fair but based on previous successful projects we recommend between £9-£12 per hour for business related projects and between £12-£20 per hour for more technical projects. Payroll additions will be added onto the hourly rate including a service fee.

STEP 2: REVIEW & MAKE AN OFFER

Once you have filled in all of the project post criteria you can submit live to receive student applications or save it privately as a draft. If submitted live you will start to receive applications from interested students and graduates where you can open up conversations with them via the Udrafter messenger. Once you have made a decision you can offer the student the project for them to accept.

Receive Application Notifications

STEP 3: TRACK PROGRESS

Students will only be paid for the hours that they track via the Udrafter online time tracker. You will receive notifications with students time entries and a short description of the work they have completed. You can a) approve the hours or b) decline the hours. If the former option is chosen the Udrafter payroll will run weekly on a Wednesday and the allocated business account will be charged on Friday that same week.

Track Hours

STEP 4: LEAVE A REVIEW

Once all hours have been tracked you can choose to either a) finish the project and leave the student a review b) extend the project hours or c) hire the student or graduate full time.
